Marble Run
This activity to make a funky marble run will require all the imagination you can muster as well as some patience and lots of thinking! If you think you’ve got what it takes then go for it!
“How curious!” are words that often come out of my mouth. I like to ask a lot of questions and often the answer to these questions is at the end of an investigation. Sisu is the one who really inspired me to investigate more.
If you are curious too, here are some ideas of investigations and activities you can do that are inspired by my stories.
I would love to see your results! Send in pictures to tiikat@tiikat.com so that I can display them in my gallery. To say thank you, I have stickers and badges to send to all you creative kids out there.

In Tiikat’s journal entry Imagination, he and Sisu were devastated when they lost their handmade ball over the side of The Purrpoise! Luckily they were able to use their imagination to invent a solution to retrieve it.
Tiikat and Sisu used their imagination to create their own tennis rackets to play boat tennis. You can follow these instructions to copy their design, or just use them as a guide and use your imagination to find your preferred racket shape
An Archimedes Screw, a type of pump, is named after the great inventor and mathematician Archimedes, who lived in Ancient Greece. His work is so important it is still used today!
Why not build your own marble run in a screw shape? You can have hours of fun playing with it!
Birds have busy days, don’t they? All that flapping about and singing, laying eggs and migrating – it is exhausting, even before you count all the foraging and hunting for food!
A journal is how the world is seen in YOUR eyes. Everyone’s journal will be different. There is no set formula, it is by you for you!
Tiikat has written about himself, telling you all about his likes and dislikes and what he wants to do in the future. Now it’s your turn…
