Activities

When I am not catnapping or filling my belly with delicious food, I like to keep myself busy with all sorts of activities. I love cooking (especially as it helps me fill my belly), being artistic, as well as taking part in different kinds of investigations.

If, like me, you want to try different activities, here are some inspired by my stories. Every two weeks, to go with my new story, there will be lots more for you to do. I hope you enjoy them!

I would love to see your results!

Send in pictures to tiikat@tiikat.com so that I can display them in my gallery. To say thank you, I have stickers and badges to send to all you creative kids out there.

A journal is how the world is seen in YOUR eyes. Everyone’s journal will be different. There is no set formula, it is by you for you!

Fascinating Finland - Tiikat's home country.

Have you ever dreamed of travelling the world in a beautiful boat? Or maybe a huge ocean liner? Now’s the time to think about what your perfect boat would look like on the outside and inside!

Tiikat has written about himself, telling you all about his likes and dislikes and what he wants to do in the future. Now it's your turn...

How do sailing boats work?

Which boats move fastest?

Tiikat thinks Karelian pies are the best thing since sliced bread! They are traditionally topped with egg butter, but they can be topped with anything you’d top sliced bread with too.

One of Tiikat’s favourite things to eat is rice porridge with sweet blueberry soup, a traditional Finnish dish. It’s comforting and super tasty, no wonder Tiikat adores it!

Berry soups are popular in Finland and throughout Scandinavia. Tiikat likes to eat his on top of rice porridge, but it is equally delicious topped with a dollop of cream!

Tiikat loves adding avocado (or avo-cat-o, as he likes to call it) to lots of food. Guacamole is a fantastic avocado dip, originating in Mexico.

Cucumber yoghurt dip is a classic and different versions are made in many different countries. We have made this one with garlic and mint, similar to the Greek dip Tzatziki, or Cacik in Turkey.

Boats don’t have to be sweet and fruity, you can make fantastic ones out of vegetables too!
