In Tiikat’s journal entry Imagination, he and Sisu were devastated when they lost their handmade ball over the side of The Purrpoise! Luckily they were able to use their imagination to invent a solution to retrieve it.
You can follow these instructions if you want to make a rubber band ball like the one they have.

Equipment:
- Aluminium foil
- Rubber bands (different sizes/colours if possible)
Method:
- Cut a piece of foil about 15-20cm long.
- Scrunch up your foil into a ball
- Wrap a rubber band tightly around the foil ball. Unless it is a small band you will probably need to double it up.
- Wrap more rubber bands around the ball going in different directions.
- Keep wrapping the ball up in rubber bands until you can no longer see any foil.
- Now layer more rubber bands over your ball to make it bigger and bounce better. We alternated colours to make it stand out. Your ball is now ready so try giving it a bounce!
