Difficulty:

1 wooden spoon

Equipment:

  • Freezer
  • Blender/food processor
  • Knife
  • Container/bag for freezing

Ingredients for Mango & Lime:

  • 1 or 2 cups of chopped mango (fresh or frozen)
  • Handful of mint
  • ½ Lime
  • Honey (optional, to taste)

Ingredients for Mixed Berries:

  • 1 or 2 cups of chopped mango (fresh or frozen)
  • Handful of mint
  • ½ Lime
  • Honey (optional, to taste)

Ingredients for Cantaloupe melon:

  • 1 or 2 cups of chopped Cantaloupe Melon
  • ½ Lemon
  • Honey (optional, to taste)

Tip: Find a melon that isn’t too green and smells sweet and fruity, but not too sweet or it could be overripe.

Ingredients for Watermelon:

  • 1 or 2 cups of chopped Watermelon
  • ½ Lime
  • Honey (optional, to taste)

Method:

  1. If using fresh fruit, put it in a freezer bag and place in the freezer for at least 3 hours or overnight until completely solid.
  2. Place your frozen fruit in the blender or food processor, with a squeeze of lemon or lime juice and honey to taste, and mint if using.

Tip: Leave your frozen fruit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes and break up the pieces before blending to make the blend easier.
  3. Blitz your ingredients in the blender. Add a little warm water if needed.
  4. You should now have a smooth sorbet consistency ready to eat immediately!
  5. If your sorbet is too runny place it in the freezer for approximately 1 hour to firm up before serving.
